About Juno Beach Cafe
- We are delighted that you have found our web site and can't wait for you to find our Cafe and try our famous Uncle Eddie's Pancakes!
We take pride in offering a diversified and creative breakfast and lunch menu. Our food is never pre-mixed, pre-measured or pre-done.
This takes a bit longer, so when dining with us, please have patience and be assured we are working as quickly as possible to serve you a fresh, hot meal. Imagine sitting in the beautiful South Florida weather while we share with you a brief family history.
Don's Uncle Eddie owned eight pancake houses in and around Great Falls, Montana in the 1950's and 1960's. Uncle Eddie would mix the pancake batter and then add a secret bag of ingredients he called the "dynamite". He never revealed the "dynamite" ingredients until years later when Don and I and his brother Lee and his wife Roseann opened restaurants in Key Largo, Florida. Don and I moved from Key Largo in 1998 and opened THE JUNO BEACH CAFE. We brought the "secret recipe" for "Uncle Eddie's Pancakes" and we continue to honor him by proudly serving this 50+ year old recipe affectionately known as "UEP's".
Don has been in the restaurant business for over 40 years and we have been working side by side for the past 26 years. Our three daughters grew up bussing tables, being servers, hostesses, cashiers, "toasties" and even once in a while, cooks.
There are a few "updates" to the continuing story of our family... we are the proud grandparents of six wonderful grandchildren. Our oldest daughter, Christine and her husband Juan are parents of Angelica, 9 and Diana, 7. They own a landscaping business in Key Largo and Christine also works for the Monroe County School Board. Terri is married to Major Keith Anderson who works full time for the Florida National Guard. Terri was a teacher at Lighthouse Elementary School in Jupiter, but has taken a leave of absence since the birth of Jack, our sixth grandchild. Our youngest daughter, Stephanie is married to Jamie who is an international pilot for Continental Airlines. They also live in Key Largo and are the parents of Jacob, 9, Zacharey, 7, and Lucas, 5. Stephanie is also a substitute teacher at Key Largo Elementary School. Needless to say that the grandchildren are the joys of Grandma and Grandpa's life.
God continues to bless us, our family and our business. We are grateful to all of you, our guests, and we ask God to bless you and your families.
Be sure to introduce yourselves to us when you come to The Juno Beach Cafe.
